My bloodline is celebrating the very day we declared our freedom with a bowl of our traditional Soup Jou Ou Mou. January 1st 1804 is when self-liberated slaves fought against the French colonial rule in Saint-Dominguez, now the sovereign nation of Haiti. The very first free black slaves…….

But we’re in 2018 and we’re still looked upon as an inferior race. .

12 Years, 4 Months, 1 Week and 4 Days. .

No one will ever put any doubt in my heart of the resilience of my people. My bloodline. My heritage.
It’s too bad that we still live in the level of ignorance to those that have long-held beliefs on black inferiority. But you can’t teach those to understand the love and the power from my people in my shithole country. .
